Research on Performance Evaluation Approaches of Infrared Automatic Target Recognition Algorithms

The development of the performance evaluation of infrared automatic target recognition (ATR)algorithms is reviewed in this paper.The operating condition limitation and performance specifi- cation selection necessary for ATR algorithm evaluation are presented.Several conventional approaches used in ATR algorithm evaluation are summarized.
