Ethyl 7-Methyl-5-(4-methylphenyl)-3-oxo-2-{[3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl]methylidene}-2,3-dihydro-5H-[1,3]thiazolo[3,2-a]pyrimidine-6-carboxylate

A simple route for synthesis of compound 3 via three component reaction involving ethyl 6-methyl-4-(4-methylphenyl)-2-thioxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine-5-carboxylate ( 1), 3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1-phenyl-1 H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde ( 2) and monochloroacetic acid is described. The newly synthesized compound is well characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H-NMR and mass spectral studies.
