Application of Image Processing in Interpretation of Camouflage Infrared Thermal Images

Abstract:
In the test of infrared camouflage,interpretation of the obtained thermal images is a critical step.For the same image obtained under the same test condition,the more information can be obtained when it is interpreted,the greater the value of the test is.However,in the practical test,the infrared thermal images obtained directly by a thermal imager can not provide enough information.Therefore, in this paper,the infrared thermal images are processed by using the MATLAB tool and the methods such as image enhancement,image subtraction and thermal image edge detection and the images before and after processing are compared with each other.It can be found that the processed infrared thermal images can provide more visual and detail information.Thus,the conclusion is further verified in science and accuracy.
