Characteristics of frail eco-environment in Hebei plateau

This paper dealts with the characteristics of eco-environmental deterioration in Hebei plateau andwith measures of eco-environmental improvement by land use management and eco-engineering. In the pastdecades, the eco-environment of the plateau has been deteriorated, which may be related to climate changesand human actions. Wind erosion and desertification have increased in the area, and result in the depletion ofgrassland and lakes. Recently. landuse management and eco engineering have been built in sorne places, andthe eco environment of the places has been proved.
