Modelling of Lijiang River

A study of water quality model based on a modification of the Streeter-Phelps equationis given in this paper for predicting the dissolved oxygen (DO) profile in Lijiang River. Majorfactors effecting water quality are explored, and a systematic analysis is performed in this study. Atthe same time, a method for estirnating parafmeters in model was developed. The results indicatethat BOD, temperature and flows are the most important factors for Lijiang River. An applicationof the model proposed in this paper gave a good agreement with the results observed in thefield.
