Development of rotary infrared micro-scanner
|
Abstract:
The lower resolution and poor MTF value in infrared imaging system have been remaining for many years because of their large Airy of optical lens and small fill-factor of FPA, respectively. This paper reported a popular way to improve the resolution and MTF of infrared images applied micro-scanning technology. The principles about micro-scanning imaging were briefly described, but the ways to design rotated-type IR micro-scanner were completely discussed, which included some important design formulas. Based on development of the rotated-type IR micro-scanner and the demo set of IR imaging, the experiments about micro-scanning imaging have been finished by using a-Si UFPA fabricated 240×320 pixels under cooperation with Nanjing University of science and technology, and finally got high resolution and MTF value of IR videos obviously.
