This research has adopted J.A.Schumpeter's creative theory,through contrast and analysis,to research and analyze the present "high production but low value" predicament in China's pearl industry.The conclusion: to get rid of the predicament of China's pearl industry,China shall have to carry out its development strategy for technical innovation.Namely,the central government should support and establish an environment for technical innovation: make related policies;perfect the marketing mechanism;reinforce the service functioning;introduce and digest the advanced expertise from abroad for pearl culture and downstream processing.
