Proper use of two concepts in the literature of marine science
|
Abstract:
Antibacterial activity and lagoon are two concepts that have been often misused in literatures of marine science, because of improper exchanges of ill-defined terminology. After a literature survey, I clarified the scientific meaning of Antibacterial activity and lagoon and differentiated them from their corresponding misnomers, based on the concepts and terms defined by the China National Committee for Terms in Sciences and Technologies. Researchers in marine science should adopt the proper terminology in publishing their scientific results.
