The contents of organic matter and the amount of dissoluble organic matter are-related with grain size. 2. The colour of bitumen can reflect the degree of evolution of organic matter. 3. Sedimentary environment is indicated by the variation of contents of organic matter. 4. Scattered organic matter can not generate petroleum.
