Adsorption and desorption of nitrobenzene by wetland soils

Abstract:
Adsorption and desorption characteristics of nitrobenzene by wetland soils were assessed with batch equilibrium experiments.The results showed that wetland soils have a strong adsorption capability for nitrobenzene.Adsorption isotherms were fitted to the linear and Freundlich models.Investigation into the physiochemical properties of soils and the adsorption coefficients(Kf) indicated that the Kf values and soil organic matter content were significant positively correlated(r=0.888,p<0.01,n=7).The top peat s...
