Main factors influencing CH4 flux from a Phragmites australis wetland in the Min River estuary

Abstract:
Seasonal and diel variation of methane flux from a Phragmites australis wetland and a Spartina alterniflora invasive patch were measured using the enclosed chamber technique.Samples were taken in 2007 before flood,in flooding and ebbing,and after ebb.Potential rates of methane production from the soil layers were also measured using an incubation method.The results indicated that the Shanyutan Phragmites australis wetland,which is the biggest Phragmites australis wetland in the Min River estuary area,was a ...
