Fuzzy optimization model for waste load allocations based on the Gini coefficient
|
Abstract:
Six selected indices involving society, economy, resources, environment, technology and management, etc. was utilized to construct the assessment system for fair allocation of waste loads, which environmental Gini coefficient is a measure. Based on the fuzziness and imprecision of statistical data and the difference in the importance of indices, a fuzzy optimization model with the elastic constraints and weighted information entropy was proposed for waste load allocations. As a case, the fuzzy optimization model was applied to the distribution of COD and NH3 loads in Chaohu Lake basin. Study results show that the novel fuzzy model was simple and efficient, and could preferably overcome the disadvantages of the present environmental Gini coefficient method of total pollutant load allocation for water bodies.
