Evaluation of ecosystem services of the Yongding River in Beijing
永定河(北京段)河流生态系统服务价值评估

Based on the classification of ecosystem services (i.e. provisioning services, regulating services, cultural services and supporting services ) in the \"Millennium Ecosystem Assessment\", an evaluation index system is set up which includes water supply, flood control, climate regulation, recreation, biological diversity and some other functions to clearly assess the main ecosystem functions of the Yongding River in Beijing. Results show that the total value of the ecosystem services of the Yongding River in Beijing is 42.59 billion RMB at current prices. The values of the provisioning, regulating, cultural and supporting services are 0.27 billion RMB, 25.12 billion RMB, 15.70 billion yuan and 1.45 billion RMB, respectively. It can be seen that among the four different services, the regulating and cultural ecosystems accounted for over 90% of the total ecosystem values. This study provides theoretical basis for the ecological restoration of the Yongding River in Beijing and the assessment of river ecosystem services.
