Controlling technology of interfacial behaviors of organic pollutants and its application
|
Abstract:
The multi-interfacial behavior of pollutants in multi-media affects their states of existence, transformation, transport and fate as well as biological and ecological impacts. Knowledge of the multi-interfacial behaviors and controlling principles of pollutants is vital not only for understanding the source-sink distribution mechanisms, predicting their bioavailability, but also for developing new pollution control materials and methods. This paper reviewed the multi-interfacial behaviors of typical organic pollutants and their micro-interface sorption mechanisms; elucidated the principles by which surfactants regulate the partition behavior of organic pollutants between solid-solution interface and their bioavailability, with a special focus on the application of these interfacial behaviors controlling technologies in regulating the sorption treatment of wastewaters containing non-degradable organic pollutants, mitigation and remediation of the organic contaminated soils.
