Spatio-temporal analysis of ecological health at the landscape scale- A case study of Guiyang, China
|
Abstract:
An evaluation index system for ecological health in Guiyang city at the landscape scale is established according to pressure-state-response (PSR) conceptual mode1. These correlative ecological indices for ecological health assessment are extracted using images of TM (year 1991) and CBERS (year 2006). Spatial unit grids at 1km ×1km are selected as assessment units, and the spatial analysis function of GIS is applied to create a spatial distribution map for each single index and general indices. The integrated evaluations for ecological health of Guiyang city indicate that, 17.91% of the city areas are been better, while 14.37% been worse, and 67.72% of them seen no variations. It is suggested that a significant increase of construction land directly leading to the decrease of landscape ecological health in the city.
