Biological-Hydraulic-Temperature coupled model (FCASM3-Hydro-Temp) for activated sludge system Part1: Model development
|
Abstract:
Considering current activated sludge multi-field coupled models, the relationships among the biological field, hydraulic field and temperature field in an activated sludge system were analyzed. Multi-field coupled models that not only describe nutrient removal accurately but also fully consider hydraulic and temperature effects are needed. Based on the relationships among biological, hydraulic and temperature fields in an activated sludge system, the Biological-Hydraulic-Temperature coupled model (FCASM3-Hydro-Temp) was developed using the 1-Dadvection-dispersion equation with a source term according to Fully Coupled Activated Sludge Model 3 (FCASM3).
