The Lipophilic Hydrophilic Ratio(LHR)based on the Washburn equation of five filter media were calculated from the wetting rates of cyclohexane(apolar)and water(polar)filtered through compact filter media beds and measured by capillary pressure.The surface structures of the filter media were characterized by XPS and FTIR.It was confirmed by the high regression coefficients and reproducibility of wetting rates that the values have a good reliability and the technique is applicable.The LHR values of nutshell,m...
