PURIFICATION OF DIANCHI LAKE BY RADICAL SUBMERGED HYDROPHYTE (POT AMOGETON CRISPUS)
|
Abstract:
The results of a study on the purification of nutrient and heavy metal polluted Dianchi Lake using radical submerged hydrophyte (Potamogeton cri-spus) showed that the P. crispus could absorb and accumulate P,N,Pb,Zn, Cu,and As from both water and mud in large amount. Its absorption coefficients for N,P,Pb,Cu from mud were found to be higher that floating E. crassipes and the maximum biomass and purification efficiency were observed at 50% coverage.
