A preliminary study on the mechanism of nitrogen removal in a laboratory-scale bioreactor landfill
|
Abstract:
The characteristics and the mechanism of nitrogen removal in a leachate recirculation biological reactor landfill system as well as in a nitrogen removal bioreactor landfill system have been studied by laboratory simulation experiments. The results that the biological environment provided in the nitrogen removal bioreactor landfill_ is more conducive for denitrifying bacteria growth, and propagation where the denitrifying bacteria population is always 1~3 orders of magnitude higher than in the leachate recirculation bioreactor landfill. And the NH _4-N removal rate can reach about 90%.
