Source apportionment of atmospheric polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in TSP in the southeastern suburb of Beijing
|
Abstract:
Concentrations of 16 PAHs in TSP samples collected from March, 2005 to January, 2006 were analyzed at 3 sampling sites in the southeastern suburb of Beijing. Changes of PAHs concentrations with seasons reflected the seasonal variation of PAHs sources. Correlation analysis between wind direction frequencies and PAHs concentrations indicated the existence of a significant migration of PAHs from the northwest of the study area. Ratio analysis illustrated that coal-burning was the main source of PAHs in the study area. In addition, other sources including vehicles and coke were also identified. Contribution of different PAHs sources was calculated by applying factor analysis and multiple linear regression method.
