Eco-hydrological regionalization of river system in China

Abstract:
Based on the advance of synthetically analysis in ecological regionalization, hydrological regionalization and eco-hydrological regionalization, the concept of eco-hydrological regionalization of river system is defined. And according to the characteristics of eco-environment and water resources in different regions in China, the principles and indices system of regionalization are built up. With the application of spatial analysis of GIS, expert judgment and qualitative analysis, 10 regions, 44 subregions and 406 sections are divided in national scale.
