STUDY ON MUTAGENIC IMPURITIES IN CARBON BLACK
|
Abstract:
Six nitrosubstituted polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons have been identified in an extract of carbon black for making ink based on HRMS. Dinitropyrenes and 3-nitro-9-fluorenone have been confirmed by HPLC retention time and UV spectrum. According to the results of the quantitative analysis and Ames test, dinitropyrenes are responsible to the major part of direct-acting mutagenicity of the extract (67.7% of the total activity) .
