Study on the mobility and release of trace elements in coal-fired power plant
|
Abstract:
Based on the analyses of the samples of raw coal, fly ash and bottom ash collected from a power plant from the Northern Shanxi,China, the mobility and emission of sulfur and 42 other elements in these samples were studied quantitatively. The results indicated that:Al and 29 other elements were primarily retained in solid combustion residues; As,Be,Cd,Na,Nb,Ni,P,Pb,Sb and Se were only partially retained in solid combustion residues and partially emitted to the atmosphere;Hg,Br and S were primarily emitted to the atmosphere;the volatile degree of the elements are controlled by their occurrence and geochemistry properties etc.;the mean concentrations of S,Hg and Be emitted form the power plant were calculated theoretically and exceed maximum limit of atmosphere environment standard, and more attention should be paid to them.
