Degradation of anthracene phenanthrene and pyrene by two Pseudomonas sp PCN5 and PCB2
|
Abstract:
Two Pseudomonas sp PCN5 and PCB2 were isolated from the sludge contaminated by coke\|plant water for a long time.Their degradation performance and growth curves on anthracene phenanthrene and pyrene were tested.Under the condition of single PAH existence, after 10 hours reaction, the removal rates of anthracene pyrene and phenanthrene were 91\^8%,75\^6%,and 26\^2% by PCN5,and 28\^3%, 67\^5%,81\^3% by PCB2 respectively. In the mixing system of anthracene, phenanthrene and pyrene, the phenanthrene could be degraded easily by both PCN5 and PCB2,while pyrene had the least competitive ability to be degraded and transformed. After 130?h reaction, the removal rates of total\|organic\|carbon(TOC) produced by mixing PAHs were 38\^9% by PCN5,and 73\^7% by PCB2.The growth curves of PCN5 and PCB2 were similar. The concentrations of both strains reached to the highest point after 11 day cultivation.Compared to the original concentration point of PCN5 was 10000 times, and that of PCB2 was 8000 times.
