Simulated study on toluene biodegration in ground water

Abstract:
The bacteria used were isolated from soil nearby the gas station in Changchun.A bacterial strain with the highest to luene high degradability (JYZ0315) was obtained by mutation. In the batch experiment JYZ0315 degraded toluene by 93.5% within 12 days.A simulated ground water environment was used for the in situbiodegradation study.Within 11 and 15 days, JYZ0315 strain degraded toluene by 87 3% and 95 2% respectively.
