STATISTICAL INVESTIGATION OF BOUNDARY LAYER DEPTH IN BEIJING AREA

Abstract:
By using the observed wind and temperature data of Beijing observatory and 320m-tower for several years, boundary layer depth (BLD) characteristics under different stability categories are statistically analysed. Frequency of stability categories in the Beijing area, BLD under equilibrium conditions, the diagnostic models of BLD and forecasting models of nocturnal BLD, are obtained. Results are enough to study on pollution models in mesomacroscale range and boundary layer structure.
