A STUDY ON THERMO POLLUTED ZONES
|
Abstract:
According to the analysis on the mixing mechanism of cooling water fromapower plants with river flow and the factors affecting the spreading of cooling water in the near field of thermopollution, a concept of hypothetical pollution sources, with which the mixing efficiency can be judged, was proposed. A compound correlation diagram showing the positions of the hypothetical sources and the discharge factors, as well as the methods used to compute the distance from an outlet to the hypothetical sources and lateral diffusion parameters were developed. Based on the above results, the convection diffusion models can be directly used to estimate the temperature distribution in thermo-polluted zones.
