The metabolic mechanism of anaerobic phosphorus release and its kinetic analysis during biological phosphorus removal process
|
Abstract:
A series of batch experiments were performed using the excessively aerated sludge from the aerobic unit of the biological phosphorus removal system to investigate themechanism of anaerobic phosphorus release. The results showed that the VSS had an increasing trend, while theMLSS and ashes were reduced during the anaerobic phosphorus release process. But the interruption of anaerobic HAc2uptake and phosphorus2release would be occurred when the glycogen in the phosphorus2 accumulating2organisms was exhausted. Themean ratio of $QPP$ QPHB, $ QGLYP$ QPHB, $ QPP$COD, $ QPHBP$CODwas 01 48, 0150, 0144 and 01 92 respectively. The calibrated kinetic parameters of the HAc2uptake and phosphorus2release model were evaluated as following, QHAc,max was 164 mg# g-1# h-1, QP, max was 691 9mg#g-1#h-1 , Kgly was 01005, and KCOD was 3mg#L-1 . An apparently linear correlation was observed between the ratio of $ QPP$COD and pH of the solution, and the equation between them was obtained.
