Influence of Cr3+-doped on the photocatalytic activity of nanometer TiO2 films
|
Abstract:
TiO2 powder and TiO2 thin films on the surface of ceramic glaze were prepared by sol-gel method. The influences of doping different Cr3+ concentrations on the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 were discussed, and UV-VISwas used to test the optical performance of TiO2 films. The results showed that the interaction between Cr3+ and ceramic glaze increased the photocatalytic activity of the TiO2 films greatly, and the optimum doping concentration of Cr3+ was (6.04×1017 cm-3). In addition, with the enhancement of photocatalytic activity of the TiO2 film, the red shift of its absorption band edge occurred obviously and more visible light could be used.
