KINETICS OF THE BIODEGRADATION OF DIMETHYL PHTHALATE AND ANILINE BY SCENEDESMUS OBLIQNUS
|
Abstract:
Experimental results showed that Scenedesmus obliqnus has the ability of degradation to dimethyl phthalate(DMP) and aniline, the average biodegradation rates per day were found to be 12.0 and 42.6 mg/L under the initial DMP concentrations of 300 and 700mg/L and 2.4 and 4.3 mg/L under the initial aniline concentrations of 100 and 200 mg/L, respectively. Calculation of biodegradation kinetic equation newly suggested fits well with the observed values than Monod kinetic equation, and standard deviation between caloulated and observed values were 1.5 and 7.9mg/L under the initial DMP concentrations of 300 and 700 mg/L, and 1.3 and 1.1 mg/L under the initial aniline concentrations of 100 and 200 mg/L, respectively.
