CONTENTS AND DISTRIBUTION OF HEAVY METALS IN THE OFFSHORE AREA ALONG GUANGDONG PROVINCE
广东近海水域重金属含量及其分布规律的研究

The contents of the heavy metals in the offshore area along Guangdong Province were found to decrease together with COD from the coast area to the open sea while the salinity and pH value increased in the same direction. The distribution of Cu,Zn and Pb was mainly effected by the content of organic material, and the behavior of Cr, Hg and As was controlled by salinity and pH yalue. Other factors affecting the heavy metal contents were discussed as well
