This dissertation discusses the principles of indicator installation and the thinking and methods of indicator selection, builds a new method on main factor analysis and independent factor analysis combined subjectivity and objectivity, analyses the characters of regional development and the level structure of assessment index on sustainable development.On the basis, this dissertation builds the index of sustainable development assessment of Changzhou City, satisfies with the principles of indicator installation.
