Quantitative study on polymer flocculation mechanism based on mathematical morphology

Abstract:
The basic theory of the mathematical morphology is applied to the coal slurry flocculation image processing. The methods and steps of the mathematical morphology to process images are expounded in detail. Not only the microstructure parameters such as the flocculates size and the bridge length are obtained, but also the flocculation action of PQAAM and the flocculation models of polymer onto the coal slurry are explained. So that the quantitative study on the flocculation mechanism is achieved.
