On the assessment methodology and standards for nutrition status in channel type reservoirs based on zoning of eutrophication sensitivity
|
Abstract:
With the study of spatial characteristics of the hydrodynamics and its relation to the eutrophication sensitivity, an assessment method and standards for nutrition status in channel type reservoirs were proposed based on zoning of eutrophication sensitivity. The hydrodynamic probability characteristic indices such as retention ratio, sluggish flow ratio were used to calculate the probability indices of sensitivity risk, based on which, the channel type reservoirs were divided into the river type region, the transitional type region and the lake type region. Different assessment standards for nutrition status were established to each type of regions. The assessment indicators system for nutrition status includes chlorophyll a, the total phosphorus, the total nitrogen and the transparency. For each indicators we analyzed its applicable conditions in channel type reservoirs. Methods were proposed for determining standard values of nutrition status indicator classification in channel type reservoirs, including statistic analysis, regression of nutrition index and nutrition status indicators and threshold value analysis of nutrition status indices. Methods for integral assessment of nutrition status in channel type reservoirs were studied. And the calculation method of integral nutrition status indices in channel type reservoir, and standards for zoning based on nutrition status were proposed.
