BACKGROUND VALUES OF NICKEL IN SOILS IN BEIJING AREA

Abstract:
This paper is a part of comprehensive study in determining background values of toxic elements in soils and crops in Beijing area. Nickel content in soil samples from 129 sites and 32 soil profiles has been measured. Based on statistical processing of the analytical data, distribution types of nickel content in various soils have been studied. In addition, differences between nickel contents in both top and bottom soil in soil profiles have been observed. Finally, background values of Ni in soils in Beijing area were presented.
