Complexation of copper ( Ⅱ )ions with natural organic matter in water and soil in Hong Kong
|
Abstract:
Conditional stability constants and complexation capacities of dissolved organic carbon(DOC) from river water and water soluble organic carbon(WSOC) from soil in Hong Kong for copper were determined. The results showed that the measured conditional stability constants decreased with the decrease in pH and the increase in the titration window and ionic strength. The conditional stability constants of WSOC from two samples were 4.66 and 4.64 in log\|units that were higher than that of DOC.The complexation capacities of the WSOC were 0.079 and 0 023?mmol(Cu)/mg(C) respectively, that were lower than that of DOC.
