A study on treatment technology of landfill leachate by a biofilm reactor with the white rot fungi
|
Abstract:
Effluent from biochemical reactor for landfill leachate was further treated by white rot fungus biofilm in the fixed bed bioreactor filled with cinder. Mycelia before and after domestication were observed under microscope. Effects of different factors on biodegradation efficiency were studied. Results showed that the removal efficiency was the highest when retention time was 97 hours and the concentrations of glucose and NH4+-N were 2000mg·L-1 and 84mg·L-1 respectively. In addition, compared with the process of active sludge, white rot fungi were proved to be advantageous in removal of COD, colority and NH4+-N.
