BIOLOGICAL POLLUTION AND VIRAL INDICATOR IN DONGHU LAKE
武昌东湖生物污染的研究及病毒指示物的初探

The results of an investigation on total and fecal coliform bacteria, coliphage and enterovirus in water from Donghu Lake showed serious biological pollution mainly from feces, especially during summer and fall. The correlation between coliphage and enterovirus in polluted water was discovered and the former may serve as an indicator of enterovirus.
