Method of resolving lowest environmental water demands in river course( Ⅰ ) theory

The connotation of the lowest environmental water demands in river course is proposed from the point of the main pollution problem in water environment. The lowest environmental water demands is defined as the minimum water threshold value that maintains river's basic environmental functions. Based on this conception, a resolving method, which is particularly suitable to the severely contaminated river, is put forward. This method provides a thought and a reference way for the study of environmental water demands about river ecological system.
