FOR ALG OTH POTENTIAL TEST IN WATER FROM DONGHU LAKE,WUHAN
|
Abstract:
Addition of wastewater or nutrients (N and P)to lake water in various doses had stimulated the growth of alga Scenedesmus obliguus. The growth response was positively correlated to the concentration of the waste-water added. The SC20 were 0.5-4%. Nitrogen or phosphorus alone, even at high concentration, rarely showed stimulating effects, but cambined addition of N and P in most cases had stimulated the algal growth. It appears that N or P may not be the main limiting factors for algal growth in the lake water and other nutrient factors may exist.
