EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE ON SO2 DRY SCRUBBING WITH AMMONIA
|
Abstract:
The effect of temperature on SO2 dry scrubbing with ammonia has been studied. Experimental results showed that the reaction extent of thermal SO2/NH3 chemical reaction decrease linearly with increasing temperature. However,in pulse coronal discharge, SO2 removal exhibits a non-linear regularity with the increase in tempearture. Taking advantage of the composition of the products at various temperatures, it was revealed that two reaction pathways are in parallel in the SO2 removal, i. e. (1) salt formation is the first step and then oxidized, and (2) SO2 oxidation is the first step and followed by salt formation. At high temperature ,the latter pathway seems to be predominating.
