Efficiency of enhanced filtration with composite potassium permanganate (CP) in polluted drinking water freatment

Abstract:
The effect and causation of filter failure by polluted water were discussed. The efficiency and mechanism of enhanced filtration with composite potassium permanganate (CP) pretreatment process in polluted water treatment were studied. And the concept of enhanced treatment (enhanced coagulation and enhanced filtration) in polluted drinking water treatment was elaborated. The plant scale experiments result showed the excellent efficiency of enhanced filtration in removal of turbidity, color, alga, odor, organic contaminate and withstanding the change of turbidity by CP pretreatment process, which excelled the efficiency of prechlorination and PFS coagulation process.
