Abstract:

The deflected second air system and overfire air system is used in a 600MW utility boiler. In the furnace, the lower second air is deflected to the waterwall and the upper second air and the overfire air is deflected to the opposite direction of the flow rotation direction in the furnace, in order to obtain the effect of slagging perevention and decreasing the twisted residual at the exit of furnace.Such arrangement also builds the two stage combustion in both horizontal and vertical directions.Through experimental and numerical methods, the NOx emission properties of the 600MW utility boiler were measured and calcuated.The experimental and numerical results illustrated that the simulated method is feasible and effective.
