Numerical model study of the effect of biogenic NMHC on ozone and PAN
|
Abstract:
By numerical simulation method and GEIA biogenic emission inventory, the effect of biogenic non\|methane hydrocarbon (NMHC) on ozone and PAN in east China in summer were investigated and the importance of biogenic NMHC to atmospheric chemistry system was illustrated. The results showed that ozone and PAN in most area of east China were increased by biogenic NMHC, the average maximum increment of ozone and PAN were 9?ppb and 0 6?ppb respectively. The average maximum increment in daytime even reached to 21?ppb and 1 2?ppb respectively, which appeared in Shanghai and Zhejiang Province. Model results showed good agreement with observation and also indicated that biogenic NMHC should be adequately considered in simulation and control of regional and urban ozone.
