Organic pollutants in surface sediment of Donghu Lake, Wuhan

Abstract:
sediment samples were collected over the Donghu Lake, Wuhan city, China in December, 2000. Organic pollutants were analyzed by GC-MS. 180 kinds of organic chemicals were detected in the sediment samples. Among them 35kinds of chemicals belong to priority pollutants or endocrine disruptors. The sequence of the contamination of Donghu Lake was: Shuiguo Lake>Southern Guozheng Lake>Northern Guozheng Lake.
