Fluxes of Greenhouse Gases from Xiangxi River in Summer and Their Influencing Factors
|
Abstract:
With the LGR-Airtight Floating Dynamic Flux Chamber method, a 24-hour continuous monitoring was carried out to understand the greenhouse gases fluxes across the water-air interface of the Xiangxi River Bay, the Three-Gorges Reservoir in summertime. It indicated that the fluxes of CO2 and CH4 across the water-air interface appeared an obvious diurnal variation, and they showed a good negative correlation. The absorption and emission process of CO2 showed strong diurnal alteration during the experimental period, whereas CH4 was emitted all day. The average fluxes of CO2 and CH4 were 0.336 mg·(m2·h)-1 and 0.088 mg·(m2·h)-1, respectively. The fluxes of carbon had good correlation with temperature, pH, chlorophyll a, air-pressure, light intensity, but no obvious correlation with Eh. Furthermore, the correlation of CO2 with environment factors was better than that of CH4.
