KINETICS OF Zn ADSORPTION IN CALCAREOUS SOILS
|
Abstract:
The kinetics of Zn adsorption in calcareous soil was studied using a constant flow leaching method with raw soil, CaCO3 removed soil, pure CaCO3 and artificial soil samples, The results of the experiments indicated that CaCO3 is a major adsorbent for Zn in calcareous soil and the CaCO3 adsorbed Zn is difficult to be desorbed with 0.01 mol/L CaCl2. The first-order, Elovich and parabolic diffusion equations were applied to fit the experimental data.
