COAGULATION-FLOCCULATION CHARACTERISTICS AND MECHANISM OF POLYALUMINUM SALTS
|
Abstract:
Coagulation jar tests were carried out by A1C13 and polyalumi-num of different basicities in kaolinite suspension. The micro-elec-tro-phoretic mobilities and adsorption parameters were also determined. The zeta potential change was related with the surface coverage and chemical species distribution. The coagulation diagram of polyaluminum was compared with that of A1C13. In the light of experimental results the mechanism for superior coagulation function of polyaluminum was then discussed further.
