CONCENTRATIONS AND FRACTIONATION OF ALUMINUM IN NATURAL AND DRINKING WATER SAMPLES
|
Abstract:
Three kinds of water samples were selected to be analyzed for their concentrations and fractions of aluminum including samples collected from Le'an River in Jiangxi Province, Baiyangdian Lake, tap water and boiled water using aluminum pot. The fractionation of aluminum along Lean Rvier was remarkable affected by waste water discharged from Dexing Copper Mine. In Baiyangdian Lake, polymeric and complexed aluminum fractions were identified in some samples. Moreover, there was still some residual aluminum in tap water. After boiled with aluminum pot, not only the amount of total aluminum raised, but also the concentration and proportion of active monomeric aluminum fraction increased significantly.
