SYNTHESIS AND ADSORPTION CHARACTERIZATION OF CARBOXYMETHYL CROSSLINKED CHITOAN RESIN

Abstract:
Carboxymethyl crosslinded chitosan resin was synthesized through the reaction of chitosan crosslinked by ethylene glycol bisglycidyl ether with chloroacetic acid. Its static adsorption properties for Cu2+ , Ni2+ , Co2+ were studied. The results showed that the resin has good adsorption properties for metal ions studied and the capacities of absorption were 2.25, 1.98 and 1.81 mmol·g-1 , respectively.
